There are a set of pre-defined Action Categories for which gamification rules can be set. A quick glance at the Action Categories:

Below, you will find the detailed explanation of each type of rule:
1. Stream Complete
This allows you to reward the user for completion of a Stream or a set of Streams. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
1 (A) Stream Complete - Stream Tag
Explanation: Reward users for Stream/s completion based on a particular Tag/set of Tags. Here, you can see 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife' are the selected Tags. You can choose as many as you like.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Stream/s that are tagged with 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife'.
1 (B) Stream Complete - Stream Skill
Explanation: Reward users for Stream/s completion based on a particular Skill/set of Skills. Here, you can see 'Communication Skills' is the selected Skill. You can choose more than 1 Skill from the list.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Stream/s created under 'Communication Skills'.
1 (C) Stream Complete - Stream Title
Explanation: Reward users for Stream/s completion based on a the Stream title/s. Here, you can see 'Customer Engagement' & 'Content Functions' are the titles selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Stream/s titled 'Customer Engagement' & 'Content Functions'.
1 (D) Stream Complete - Stream Category
Explanation: Reward users for Stream/s completion based on a the Stream Category/Categories. Here, you can see 'Soft Skills' & 'RESOURCES' are the Categories selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Stream/s under the Categories 'Soft Skills' & 'RESOURCES'.
1 (E) Stream Complete - All Streams
Explanation: Reward users for completion of Streams that they receive during the program. Here, the Entity selection is not needed.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for completing each & every Stream they are getting in their app.
2. Section Complete
This allows you to reward the user for completion of a Section or a set of Sections. Users will be rewarded for all selected Sections, whichever Stream/s they may occur in.
There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
2 (A) Section Complete - Section Skill
Explanation: Reward users for Section/s completion based on a particular Skill/set of Skills. Here, you can see 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills' are selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Section/s created under 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills'.
2 (B) Section Complete - Section Title
Explanation: Reward users for Section/s completion based on a the Section title/s. Here, you can see '2-Customer Engagement'; 'Time for an assessment!' & 'Customer Handling' are the titles selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Section/s titled '2-Customer Engagement'; 'Time for an assessment!' & 'Customer Handling'.
2 (C) Section Complete - Section Category
Explanation: Reward users for Section/s completion based on a the Section Category/Categories. Here, you can see 'Product Knowledge' & 'Soft Skills' are the Categories selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Section/s under the Categories 'Product Knowledge' & 'Soft Skills'.
2 (D) Section Complete - Stream Tag
Explanation: Reward users for Section/s completion based on a particular Stream Tag/set of Stream Tags. Here, you can see 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife' are the selected Tags. You can choose as many as you like.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Section/s that are part of Streams tagged with 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife'.
2 (E) Section Complete - All Sections
Explanation: Reward users for completion of each & every Section that they receive during the program. Here, the Entity selection is not needed.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for completing each & every Section they are getting in their Streams.
3. Card View
This allows you to reward the user for viewing Cards. Users will be rewarded for all selected Cards, whichever Stream/s they may occur in.
There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
3 (A) Card View - Card Title
Explanation: Reward users for Cards viewed based on a the Card title/s. Here, you can see 'HELLO THERE!' & 'HOW YOU BENEFIT' are the titles selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to viewing of the Card/s titled 'HELLO THERE!' & 'HOW YOU BENEFIT'.
3 (B) Card View - Card Skill
Explanation: Reward users for Cards viewed based on a particular Skill/set of Skills. Here, you can see 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills' are selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to viewing of Cards that under 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills'.
3 (C) Card View - Stream Title
Explanation: Reward users for Cards viewed based on a the Stream title/s. Here, you can see 'Customer Engagement' & 'Content Functions' are the titles selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to Cards viewed within Stream/s titled 'Customer Engagement' & 'Content Functions'.
3 (D) Card View - Card Category
Explanation: Reward users for Cards viewed based on a the Card Category/Categories. Here, you can see 'Product Knowledge' & 'Soft Skills' are the Categories selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to viewing of Cards that are under the Categories 'Product Knowledge' & 'Soft Skills'.
3 (E) Card View - Stream Tag
Explanation: Reward users for Cards viewed based on a particular Stream Tag/set of Stream Tags. Here, you can see 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife' are the selected Tags. You can choose as many as you like.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to viewing of Cards that are part of Streams tagged with 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife'.
3 (F) Card View - All Cards
Explanation: Reward users for each & every Card viewed during the program. Here, the Entity selection is not needed.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for viewing each & every Card they are getting in their Streams.
4. Assessment
This allows you to reward the user for taking/completing assessments. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
Also, please check the '2 COMMON CONFIGURATIONS' section at the end of this document, as it is essential for Assessment-related rules.
4 (A) Assessment - Section Skill
Explanation: Reward users for Assessment completion based on a Skill/Skills assigned to the Section within which the Assessment occurs. Here, you can see 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills' are selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of the Assessment/s within Sections created under 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills'.
4 (B) Assessment - Stream Tag
Explanation: Reward users for Assessments based on a particular Stream Tag/set of Stream Tags. Here, you can see 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife' are the selected Tags. You can choose as many as you like.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to Assessments that are part of Streams tagged with 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife'.
4 (C) Assessment - Stream Assessment
Explanation: Reward users for completing specific Assessments that occur in specific Streams. Here, 'Analytical Shoppers'; 'Time Killers'; and 'Showroomers' are the selected Stream Assessments. You can pick as many as you want.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for the Stream Assessments titled 'Analytical Shoppers'; 'Time Killers'; and 'Showroomers'.
4 (D) Assessment - Assessment Title
Explanation: Reward users for completing specific Assessments based on their titles. Here, 'Selling Skills'; 'English Prof'; and 'Soft Skills' are the selected Assessment titles. You can pick as many as you want.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for the Assessments titled 'Selling Skills'; 'English Prof'; and 'Soft Skills'.
4 (E) Assessment - Section Category
Explanation: Reward users for Assessments based on Section Category/Categories. Here, you can see 'Products'; 'Commercials'; and 'Store Operations' are the Categories selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to Assessments that come under Sections with 'Products'; 'Commercials'; and 'Store Operations' as the Categories.
4 (E) Assessment - All Assessments
Explanation: Reward users for each & every Assessment during the program. Here, the Entity selection is not needed.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for each & every Assessment they are getting in their Streams.
5. Knowledge Check (KC)
This allows you to reward the user for taking/completing KCs. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
Also, please check the '2 COMMON CONFIGURATIONS' section at the end of this document, as it is essential for KC-related rules.
5 (A) Knowledge Check - KC Title
Explanation: Reward users for completing specific KCs based on their titles. Here, 'Communication Skills' & 'Personal Effectiveness 2' are the selected KC titles. You can pick as many as you want.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for the KCs titled 'Communication Skills' & 'Personal Effectiveness 2' .
5 (B) Knowledge Check - KC Skill
Explanation: Reward users for KC completion based on a Skill/Skills assigned to the KC. Here, you can see 'Meet & Greet' & 'Product Demo' are selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of KCs that include the skills of 'Merchandising' & 'Communication Skills'.
5 (C) Knowledge Check - Module KC
Explanation: Reward users for specific Stream-level KC completion. Here, you can see that 'Achieving a Positive Attitude' & 'Business Excellence' are the selected Streams. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to completion of KCs that added in the Streams 'Achieving a Positive Attitude' & 'Business Excellence'
5 (D) Knowledge Check - KC Category
Explanation: Reward users only for KCs that are tagged certain Categories. Here, you can see 'Products' & 'Commercials' are the Categories selected. You can choose as many as you want.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to KCs that include 'Products' & 'Commercials' the Categories.
5 (E) Knowledge Check - All Knowledge Check
Explanation: Reward users for each & every KC during the program. Here, the Entity selection is not needed.
What this means: Users will be rewarded with the allocated points for each & every KC they are receiving.
6. Activity Submission
This allows you to reward the user for completing Activities. Users will be rewarded for all selected Activities. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
6 (A) Activity Submission - Activity
Nothing appearing in Entity drop-down. Ask Dolly.
6 (B) Activity Submission - Stream Tag
Explanation: Reward users for an Activity/set of Activities based on a particular Stream Tag/set of Stream Tags. Here, you can see 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife' are the selected Tags. You can choose as many as you like.
What this means: In this case, the reward will only apply to an Activity/set of Activities that are part of Streams tagged with 'Gamify' & 'Goodlife'.
7. Login
Reward users for logging in to the app. This is a simple rule, with NO permutations of Scope or Entity.
There is however, a configuration you can make further -- the Reward Frequency. This will be explained shortly.
8. User Points
Reward users for earning points in the program. This is a simple rule, with NO permutations of Scope or Entity.
The idea with this, is to assign bonus points and/or badges to users for reaching & crossing certain points thresholds within the program.
There is a configuration you can make further -- the Reward Condition. This will be explained shortly.
2 common configurations for most of the Rules
These configurations are especially applicable to the 'Assessment' & 'Knowledge Check' related Rules. These are:
1. REWARD FREQUENCY
2. REWARD CONDITION
Now lets look at how each of them work. Bear in mind that these are done while creating different types of rules, but their purpose, and logic is the same throughout.
1. Reward Frequency
This complements most of the Action Categories that you have read about so far. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
Pl note: Reward Frequency is NOT APPLICABLE for the following Action Category: User Points
1 (A) (i) Reward Frequency - Once Every Day
Explanation: Reward users (for that particular action) once on each day of the program.
1 (A) (ii) Reward Frequency - Once During the Program
Explanation: Reward users (for that particular action) only once during the program.
1 (B) (i) Reward Frequency - Every Time
Explanation: Reward users (for that particular action) every time they perform the action.
*here the second tab becomes invisible as it is not required in this scenario
1 (C) (i) Reward Frequency - After 'xx' Submissions Every Day
*Submissions means 'after how many times of performing the action'
Explanation: Reward users only after completing the action a certain number of times on each day of the program. Here, it is set as 2 times.
1 (C) (ii) Reward Frequency - After 'xx' Submissions During the Program
*Submissions means 'after how many times of performing the action'
Explanation: Reward users only after completing the action a certain number of times during the entire program. Here, it is set as 2 times.
2. Reward Conditions
This complements most of the Action Categories that you have read about so far. There are different scenarios under this, each of which is explained below.
Pl note: Reward Conditions is NOT APPLICABLE for the following Action Categories: Card View; Activity Submission; Login
Reason: The Reward Conditions are applicable ONLY where a Score is involved, which does not happen for the 3 Action Categories mentioned above.
2 (A) Reward Conditions- Score 'Greater than...'
Explanation: Reward users only if their Score is greater than a particular number. Here, the score is set as 50.
What this means: The reward will only apply if the user has scored more than 50.
2 (B) Reward Conditions- Score 'Less than...'
Explanation: Reward users only if their Score is less than a particular number. Here, the score is set as 50.
What this means: The reward will only apply if the user has scored less than 50.
2 (C) Reward Conditions- Score 'Between...'
Explanation: Reward users only if their Score is between two particular numbers. Here, the lower & upper limits are set as 80 & 100 respectively.
What this means: The reward will only apply if the user has scored anywhere between 80 & 100.
2 (D) Reward Conditions- Score 'Greater than or equal to...'
Explanation: Reward users only if their Score is greater than or equal to a particular number. Here, the score is set as 50.
What this means: The reward will only apply if the user has scored 50 or above.
2 (E) Reward Conditions- Score 'Less than or equal to...'
Explanation: Reward users only if their Score is less than or equal to a particular number. Here, the score is set as 50.
What this means: The reward will only apply if the user has scored 50 or below.
2 (F) Reward Conditions- Score 'Any'
Explanation: Reward regardless of what their Score is. Here, there is no need to set any kind of Score number.

You can add as many Rewards as you want by clicking on 'Add Reward'.
